In support of fasting TDP president N.Chandrababu Naidu on the seventh consecutive day, the party cadre with active support from left party leaders, staged road blockades, in Srikakulam district. Raising slogans against State Government, The activists on Thursday, obstructed MP Killi Krupa Ranis convoy in the region.

The demonstrators demanded that, the government announce immediate relief of Rs. 10,000 per acre to rain-hit farmers. Sensing trouble, the police personnel swung into action & resorted to disperse them. However, the activists remained adamant, and refused to allow the convoy to move on. The sleuths then arrested the activists, and shifted them to the police station.
