T Mass movement from February

At a time when the state is anxiously waiting for the contents of the Justice Srikrishna panel report, the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Sunday said that there would be nothing in the report suggesting a separate statehood for Telangana. He insisted that a non-violent non-cooperation movement would definitely get a Telangana state and asked everyone to start gearing up for a mass movement along those lines from February.
Referring to the heavy deployment of Central forces in Telangana region the TRS chief said, Mr. Rao warned Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and Director General of Police K. Aravinda Rao that, they would only be burning their fingers if the government committed excesses against Telangana supporters.
The JAC chairman M. Kodandaram said that a memorandum seeking separate Telangana would be submitted to President Pratibha Patil. The meeting decided to kick start the movement with candlelight demonstrations on the night of December 31.
