17 cameras to check Cyberabad IT corridor

Society for Cyberabad Security Council along with the Cyberabad police, on Monday, launched an advanced Cyberabad city-wide intelligent video surveillance system. The Cyberabad commissioner, Mr S. Prabhakar Reddy, inaugurated 17 new HDTV network surveillance cameras that will monitor the entire IT corridor.
This is being done for the first time to enhance security in the Cyberabad IT corridor. Speaking on the occassion, Mr Prabhakar Reddy said the network will allow for better planning and deployment of police personnel in the area. The security solution is designed to provide several benefits like, real time video surveillance intelligence, security monitoring, faster response time in emergencies, more effective deployment of emergency responders and advanced detection and notification systems.
Continuous monitoring will be done from the newly constructed centralised Command and Control Centre on the Cyberabad police commissioners premises.
