KCR asks state & centre to be ready for elections

Telangana Rashtra Samiti would gain immensely from the political waves being created by former Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy after quitting Congress, as it could trigger mid-term elections. In the event of such elections, Mr. Jagan will sweep in coastal-Rayalaseema regions with the TRS doing just the same in Telangana.
This was the overwhelming view of members of the executive of TRS which met at the party office here on Wednesday. Asking the party cadre to be prepared for elections, Mr. Rao is believed to have said that the Centre could go for polls on its own at the back of 2G Spectrum scam and the State government could come crashing down due to threat from Mr. Jagan.
He reportedly made it clear that TRS would go it alone in the next elections. The TRS president who addressed a meeting of workers criticised the State government for provoking supporters of Telangana by binding over some important leaders in Nalgonda district. He warned that the government was inviting trouble by such actions. He asked MPs and MLAs of the region to resign if the Bill forming Telangana State was not introduced in the budget session of Parliament.
The goal would be achieved if all of them resigned. It became clear after the government withdrew criminal cases against students following the hunger strike by Congress MPs.
