Jagan meets Sharad Pawar

Former Kadapa MP Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy has alleged that the State and Central governments miserably failed to come to the rescue of the farmers and weavers of Andhra Pradesh, who suffered immensely due to the recent heavy rain. Speaking to reporters after calling on Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar in New Delhi on Thursday, Mr. Reddy said he had urged the Centre to give improved package.
Mr. Jagan said farmers in the State had suffered blow after blow due to floods, cyclones and unseasonal rain across the State. He lamented that farmers were unable to come out of the crisis due to the natural calamities. Mr. Jagan was accompanied by Congress MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy and Sabbam Hari, party MLAs Konda Surekha and K. Ramachandra Reddy besides MLCs Konda Muralidhar and Jupudi Prabhakar Rao.
