Revellers ushered in the New Year and bid goodbye to the first decade of the millennium with gusto across the Capital on Friday night. The countdown clock ticked to midnight and the frenzy touched a zenith, as celebrations poured on to the streets in the twin cities.

Partying continued well into the midnight, as merrymakers made a beeline to hotels, restaurants, pubs and discos accompanied with relatives, friends to count down the New Year 2011. Almost all the recreational hotspots in the Capital were filled with families, friends and couples danced away to the beats of chartbusters belted out by deejays.
