Bhavani Deeksha concludes
AA

A six-day Bhavani Deeskha Viramana concluded on a grand note at Sri Durga Malleswara Swami Varla Devasthanam on Saturday. The temple priests performed purnahuti at yagasaala near Sivalayam on Indrakeeladri, the abode of goddess Kanakadurga, around 11 a.m.

It marked the end of Bhavani deeksha relinquishment this year. Amidst chanting of Vedic hymns, the temple priests offered a silk saree, sandalwood pieces, ghee, flowers and fruits to the homam', and aaseerwachanam were given to the devotees.

The Bhavanis, after taking a holy dip in the Krishna, made a beeline for the temple since early morning and offered special puja to the goddess to mark the relinquishment of the deeksha on the last day. More than 25,000 people, including Bhavanis, attended the purnahuti and offered prayers to presiding deities.

The rush of Bhavanis on Saturday was less compared to the last couple of days, as most of the devotees ended their deeskha by Friday, which was scheduled to be the last day for relinquishment of the deesksha.
