The Telugu Desam Party has accused Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao of working for political ends' rather than focussing his energies on achieving separate Telangana State.

The TDP criticised Mr. Rao for targeting the party and its president N. Chandrababu Naidu in spite of being aware of the fact that the TDP with its six MPs had a limited role' to play in the State bifurcation.

Citing accolades showered by Mr. Rao on the Congress MPs for launching a hunger strike, he charged him with changing colours frequently. Addressing a press conference on Sunday, TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy said Mr. Rao should mount pressure on the Union Home Ministry to invite presidents of recognised political parties to attend the meeting.
