The Telangana Rashtra Samiti chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao, on Monday welcomed the former Maoist leader Sambashivudu and his followers into the party. Mr Chandrasekhar Rao said that he was not bothered about Sambashivudu's past links with the outlawed organisation.
The TRS chief said that if Telangana is carved out, the party would implement a 'Naxal agenda' to ensure food for the poor, houses for the homeless among other basic amenities. Mr Rao reiterated that a Dalit would be the Chief Minister and Muslim Deputy Chief Minister in the new state.
