Rajamundry which has been receiving heavy rains since the past two days calmed down for some time. The Dawleshwar barrage which was about to receive the third threat, fortunately escaped the disaster. A total of 17.70 feet of water level came down at the barrage. About 19 lakhs cusecs of water was released into the sea. On the other hand officials stated that ample measures have been taken to ensure excess water is released.
