On the other side Pocharam Srinivas Reddy met TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday. They were learnt to have discussed the fall out of Mr. Reddy's decision and how it would impact the TDP further in the next few days.

The date of Mr. Reddy's joining the TRS was said to have not decided as some more TDP leaders were expected to follow Mr. Reddy, possibly after the January 6 all-party meeting. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram has written a letter to the TRS chief in response to the latter announcement that his party would stay away from the January 6 meeting. The Home Minister was learnt to have told Mr. Rao that the stand taken by TRS was not appropriate and that he would look forward to its participation.
