Governor E.S.L Narasimhan said that he wished there would be a Nobel laureate in the field of science and technology from the State in the next 20 years. He was speaking at the inaugural of a State-level science exhibition for children at Arya Bhatta pranganam in JPNES School of Engineering and Pharmacy on Tuesday.

The governor said that science was closely related to every stage of human life, health and agriculture.He deplored that the science subjects were being neglected in academics.Though students were running after commerce and MBA, Mr. Narsimhan said that scientific temperament could be developed among students by organising more such science exhibitions. He stressed on every school setting up its own laboratories and organising science exhibitions and fairs at least once in a year.
