The Bharatiya Janata Party has termed the Srikrishna Committee report yet another betrayal' by the Congress government and reiterated that nothing short of a Bill in Parliament would make separate Telangana a reality. BJP national secretary K. Laxman said from the beginning they knew that any further commission' or committee' would be a futile exercise only.

State BJP president G. Kishan Reddy reminded people that all political parties and groups in the Telangana agitation were only affirming the BJP's stance and firmly believed that development lay only in a separate Telangana. Mr. Reddy lashed out at TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao for his statements that AICC president Sonia Gandhi would make Telangana a reality.
