CAG report on 2G scam has errors - Kapil Sibal

Union Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal castigated the CAG report on the alleged scam, in the allocation of 2G spectrum. Sibal on Friday said in New Delhi , said that the figure of 1.76 lakh crore, which a CAG report claimed was lost due to wrong method adopted in granting licences is totally erroneous.
The Telecom Minister claimed that the loss figure was just Rs 17,755 crore. laiming that faulty allocation started in the previous BJP -led National Democratic Alliance regime, he said that NDA government introduced the first come, first served policy in telecom licensing. He also slammed the BJP and accused it of not allowing Parliament to function. Accusing the BJP of double standard, Sibal said that its leaders were going back on their words.
