More than 20 TDP MLAs and senior leaders were taken into custody after they staged a sit-in, in front of the Raj Bhavan, on Friday afternoon. The leaders demanded to lift the cases on students, who were booked during pro Telangana agitations. The party legislators and senior leaders squatted on the road outside, the Raj Bhavan and raised slogans to table Telangana bill in parliament.

They also demanded that the Central para-military forces deployed in Telangana be withdrawn forthwith. Telugu Desam Telangana Forum convenor, Nagam Janardhana Reddy led the protest.
