The Telangana issue on Sunday, appeared to have created a stir in the Telugu Desam with a section of party leaders, demanding separate unit for the region. However, The problem blew away soon as they announced loyalty to the party and the president N Chandrababu Naidu.

The stir was generated with a group of senior leaders including Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Kadiam Srihari, and P Harishwar Reddy, holding a meeting at the residence of Janardhan Reddy. With speculation being made that the leaders were raising a banner of revolt, they clarified that they remained loyal to the party and the leadership of Naidu.
