The Telugu Desam Legislature Party on Thursday renewed its demand for disqualifying its rebel MLA, N. Prasanna Kumar Reddy, representing Kovur in Nellore district, for anti-party activities. A TDLP delegation comprising P. Keshav and Jaipal Yadav met Deputy Speaker Nadendla Manohar and submitted another petition for disqualification of Mr. Reddy expeditiously.

Mr. Keshav reminded him that the TDP whip D. Narendra Kumar had submitted the first letter more than a year ago to disqualify Mr. Prasanna Kumar Reddy for working against the party's interests. Mr. Reddy and Mantralayam MLA Y. Balanagi Reddy have openly associated themselves with rebel Congress leader Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy. Talking to reporters, Mr. Keshav said they asked the Deputy Speaker the reasons for the delay in announcing a decision.
