Cock fighting's in rural areas in the State
It is time for cockfighting. A major rural attraction, cock fights form an inseparable part of Sankranti festival, more so in the tribal pockets of Godavari regions. The feature has spread to the regions of Telangana & Rayalaseema. The tribal folk are obsessed with cockfighting, from the plains have made it a passion.
The politicians & various representatives actively bet on their chosen cocks. The cocks are the pride possession in the hands of those who bet. Fed on the choicest mixture of corn and rice, the cocks are trained to fight till the end.
