106 Ayyappa devotees killed in a stampede at Pulmedu

In a stampede that took place near Sabarimala temple in Kerala around 8:00 pm on Friday, nearly 106 people have been reported dead and more than 50 were injured. As per report of the sources, the stampede occurred when the pilgrims were returning after witnessing the Makarajyothi from the grassland area Pulmedu, which is about 12 km from Sabarimala. Expressing sadness over the mishap, The Authorities said that, a jeep broke down ran into the crowd when some people pushing it lost control of the vehicle.
