Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, has asserted that Telangana will get statehood, no matter if it is delayed by six months. He made the point repeatedly at a meeting with ex-servicemen from Telangana, at the party office on Sunday.

Mr. Rao based his strong confidence on the overwhelming support for the demand of Statehood in Telangana. He said that the, government has to honour the aspirations of its people in a democracy.

Referring to the deployment of security forces in the region, he said the party knows how to counter the situation and is working out its own strategies.
