Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked district Collectors to accept fresh applications from people for ration cards, pensions etc during Rachabanda programme planned to be held from January 24 to February 12 for processing, besides extending these benefits against the applications already cleared.

Interacting with Collectors through a video conference at his office on Tuesday, which was attended by over 20 Ministers, and senior officials, Mr. Reddy requested them to make the mass contact programme aimed at redressing the grievances of people across villages a grand success as they did in the case of several other schemes in the past. Housing Minister K. Lakshminarayana, who heads the Cabinet sub-committee on the programme which prepared the guidelines for it, was by his side.
