The estranged former Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, would stage a dharna in protest against the hike of petroleum price on January 22. Announcing this on Tuesday, Mr Jagan appealed to all sections of people to support him for the protest.

Mr Jagan started the second leg of his 'Odarpu Yatra' from Payakaraopeta in this district on Tuesday. Addressing the people on the occasion, Mr Jagan said that the government has not bothered about the problems of the people and remained a silent spectator, as prices of essential commodities have been skyrocketing. He said that both the Central and State governments had totally failed in controlling the prices.
