Rao expresses happiness over the appointment of AG from T- region

Expressing happiness over the appointment of a Telangana person as Advocate General of the State for the first time, the Handlooms and Textiles minister Dr P Shankar Rao exuded confidence, that the Centre would create separate Telangana state soon. Speaking to the media at CLP office on Tuesday, Dr Shankar Rao said that even the Justice Srikrishna Committee had mentioned in its report, that the sentiment was very strong in Telangana region.
He opined that resignations were not a solution to the Telangana issue. At the sametime, The Minister requested the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh, to induct the AICC general secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi into the Union Cabinet in the forth coming Cabinet expansion & advised him to allot the Youth and Women Welfare ministry to Rahul. He made it clear that he will not go back on Emaar Properties issue and said that the Emaar Properties management, has come forward to give 26 percent of the allotted land to the government.
