Mr. Reddy continued his Odarpu Yatra in rural Visakhapatnam. Till late in the evening, he met and consoled three families, whose members died due to shock on learning about the demise of the former chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash.

He met the family of V. Ravikumar in Venkatapuram and T. Apparao in Vakapadu villages, both falling in S. Rayavaram mandal, and also the family of P. Sriramulu in Bhogapuram village of Achyuthapuram mandal. Mr. Reddy, during his address en route, dwelt on the welfare schemes initiated by his late father.

20 statues of the late leader were also unveiled during the day. Mr. Reddy was scheduled to visit Kondakarla and other villages in the region till late in the night. Mr. Reddy will tour Anakapalle as part of the Odarpu Yatra today.
