AA

It began with the daylight mauling of a dog and has grown to include the bludgeoning of a newspaper carrier and the last-minute escape of a woman and her terrified canine from a charging red-eyed doe. As the summer rolls on in Austrailia, the stories surrounding deer in urban areas of British Columbia continue to push the boundaries of the surreal.

Seemingly bloodthirsty and ruthless, their antics are single-handedly challenging the commonly held perception of deer as doe-eyed Bambis.
