Seemandhra MPs press for united A.P. at Delhi meet

Senior Congress leaders met party MPs from Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra, who are pressing for the continuation of united Andhra Pradesh, on Thursday evening. Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee, who heads the informal panel set up to deal with the issues arising out of the Srikrishna Committee's report on Telangana, told the MPs that the consultation process would continue.
Talking to Newpersons, The MP's said that, they had expressed their appreciation of the Srikrishna report's recommendations, which had cited united Andhra Pradesh as its first preference. Apart from Mr. Mukherjee, the Central leaders present at the meeting were Union Defence Minister A.K. Antony, Union Law Minister M. Veerappa Moily, and the Congress president's Political Secretary Ahmed Patel.
