Coming as a precursor to formal launch of the party in a couple of months, Jana Deeksha' proposed to be taken up by former Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy on the Beach Road on Saturday has generated a lot of curiosity among political leaders cutting across party lines.

A massive dais overlooking the Bay of Bengal has been constructed at R.K. Beach as part of arrangements for the deeksha to question the alleged failure of the Union government in controlling the spiralling prices of essential commodities primarily arising out of steep increase in petrol prices.

Deeksha will begin at 11 a.m. and end with a speech by Mr. Jagan after 5 p.m. While enthusiastic crowds flocked to Odarpu yatra' at several locations in the district during the two phases, Jana Deeksha is likely to be marked by joining of cadre from other political parties in Jagan group.
