Kiran discusses Telangana with Manmohan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday and discussed the developments in the State on the report of Srikrishna Committee.
This is his first meeting with Dr. Singh since the committee presented its report on December 30, recommending various options, including creation of a separate Telangana and continuation of united Andhra Pradesh. Mr. Kiran also met senior Congress leaders and Ministers Pranab Mukherjee, A.K. Antony, P. Chidambaram and M. Veerappa Moily, and Congress president Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel, and discussed the present political situation.
Mr. Kiran told journalists that the Congress high command would take a view on the committee's report and hinted that it could be different from the decision to be taken by the government on the imbroglio.
