JAC decides to support Rachabanda

The Joint Action Committee of Employees, Teachers and Workers, has decided to support the Rachabanda programme planned by the government from January 24, even while claiming that its three-day long pen down stir that ended on Friday was a success.
V. Gopal Reddy, JAC chairman, said employees would not cause any disturbance to Rachabanda as it was a people's programme aimed at solving their problems. Instead, the employees would utilise the programme to submit memoranda on January 25 and 27 to Ministers and elected representatives seeking redressal of their own grievances relating to revised pay scales etc.
The administration remained affected for as employees observed pen down, chalk down and tool down stir for the third day on Friday.
