Rosaiah for review petition before KWDT

Former Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has said that the State government should file a review petition before the Krishna Water Disputes Tribunal to set right the injustice to Andhra Pradesh in the allocation of its share in the river water. At a press conference on Friday, Mr. Rosaiah appealed to the political parties to sink their differences and stop finding fault with one another.
He wanted them to come together and fight to protect the rights of the State. If the KWDT award goes against us even after the review petition, we can always take up the matter in the Supreme Court, he pointed out.
He said the need of the hour was to utilise the services of irrigation experts to put up an effective argument before the tribunal. All three regions in the State are dependant on Krishna water. Any lapse at this stage will cause immense harm to the future generations, he said.
