Telangana Rashtra Samiti president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that a non-cooperation movement would be launched next month with the aim of achieving Statehood for Telangana. To prepare people in the region for the movement, he announced that a bus yatra would be undertaken by students from January 30.
Fourteen buses would go round Telangana to create public awareness, he said addressing a meeting organised by the TRS students at Hakimpet in the city on Saturday. Mr. Rao focussed on the role expected of Congress leaders in achieving the demand. He urged them not to mortgage the interests of Telangana by accepting money and posts as people would not forgive them if they succumbed to temptations.
