KCR calls for boycott of Rachabanda

TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has called for boycott of Rachabanda programme of the State government from Monday as it was intended to divert the attention of people from the Telangana agitation. He asked MPs and MLAs of Telangana to register their protest over delay in formation of Telangana by boycotting the programme.
Addressing a meeting of Telangana Vidyavantula Vedika on Sunday, Mr. Rao said the Rachabanda' programme was part of cheap tactics of the government to look down upon people as beggars. The distribution of ration cards and pensions in the programme was like tossing alms at beggars. He ridiculed claim of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy that people will lose their benefits if they did not take part in the programme, asking who will lose.
