The Telugu Desam Party seeks to compete with the Rachabanda program by launching the next phase of its Rythu Kosam program from Guntur district from today. A decision to this effect was taken at a party meeting at the NTR Trust Bhavan on Monday, which was chaired by party President N Chandrababu Naidu.

Naidu said that his party would intensify its agitations to highlight the plight of the farmers of the state who were reeling under severe economic hardships. The former Chief Minister alleged that the government had started the Rachabanda program to divert the attention of the people, and to cover up the loopholes in its administration.
