The Rachabanda programme had faced obstacles, even in the state capital. The programme launched by the Ministers, Mr Danam Nagender and Mr Mukesh Goud, met with some protests from the Telangana protagonists. However, the ministers conducted the programme with the police providing them tight security.

The Ministers strongly condemned the attacks by TRS cadres, on Congress representatives in Telangana. Both the Ministers also warned the TRS to change its stance and not oppose the programme, lest they would be forced to attack the Telangana Bhavan in Jubilee Hills.
