Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal kicked up a controversy on Monday by manhandling one Kolli Ashok Kumar Chowdary who criticised him on the grounds that he was supporting the movement for united Andhra Pradesh only to safeguard his assets.

The incident occurred in Chittela village in Tiruvuru mandal during the Rachabanda programme when the MP was accepting petitions and listening to grievances from villagers about various problems.
