Rachabanda is meant for the voiceless - Kiran

Racchabanda is meant for uplifting the voiceless and weak like the girijans and no one should miss the programme and welfare and development through it. If so, it is an unpardonable crime, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy said on Tuesday. Nearly 7,000 people, most of them women, attended the Racchabanda programme and a Girijana Sadassu held on the grounds of Government Junior College. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy listed the many additional benefits the government was providing in seven areas under Racchabanda.During the second phase starting in March, five lakh acres would be distributed, 30,000 acres of them in Visakha Agency. During the first phase, 14 lakh acres of land had been distributed, 65,000 acres of them in the Agency, benefiting 32,000 families. He also announced some major sops to the Visakha Agency, saying education and health were important for development of girijans.
