Stepping up the offensive against loyalists of Congress MP from Kadapa, Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, three senior MLAs of the ruling party have demanded a CBI probe into what they alleged was a massive scam in the A.P. Industrial Infrastructure Corporation going on since 2004. Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Congress MLAs D.L. Ravindra Reddy, J.C. Diwakar Reddy and G. Veerashiva Reddy, said large-scale irregularities were taking place in APIIC at the behest of some influential leaders. Although they did not name anyone, their reference was clearly to former chief minister late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, former APICC chairman Ambati Rambabu and some senior bureaucrats. Dr. Ravindra Reddy contended that the APICC was turned into a pocket borough' of a few individuals who bent every rule in the book to favour a select few.
