Minister for Heavy Scale Industries J Geeta Reddy on saturday said, the state government is taking all necessary steps to work for the minorities in the region. Geeta Reddy participated in the Rachabanda programme at Charminar area of the old city. She said the Congress government is the only party which has the credit of granting 4% reservation for minorites.

Speaking further the Minister added that the State Government is allocating crores of rupees, towards scholarships of Minority students. Reddy added the friendly relation between the Congress and MIM will continue on a good note.
