Former PCC secretary Ambati Rambabu has dared the Central Government to order a re-enquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation on the role of Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the murder of TDP legislator Paritala Ravindra.

The enquiry should however include in its ambit the statement made by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy that he has shielded Mr. Jagan on the floor of Assembly from TDP, he told reporters here on Sunday. He also demanded that the Chief Minister should first resign paving the way for an impartial enquiry into the whole episode.

Mr. Rambabu also launched a trenchant attack on TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu for his remarks against Jagan. He said that years after the murder of Vangaveeti Ranga in Vijayawada, a sense of public perception that TDP henchmen were behind the murder had not totally disappeared.
