Some Ministers and senior Congress leaders have taken strong objection to criticism of AICC president Sonia Gandhi by former MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy's aide Ambati Rambabu. They claimed that a small time leader like Mr. Rambabu had no right to speak about Ms. Gandhi and warned that the Congress rank and file were not prepared to tolerate such utterances anymore.

Ministers J. Geetha Reddy and Anam Ramnarayan Reddy demanded that Mr. Rambabu tender an unconditional apology for his remarks or the Congress leaders would teach him a fitting lesson.

The Congress leaders also ridiculed the rally against corruption taken out by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and said Mr. Naidu should take the lead in seeking inquiry into his assets that increased manifold over the years.
