TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao took exception to the Government's refusal to clear the proposed visit to the Pothireddypadu head regulator of former chairman of Central Water Commission A.D. Mohile as a consultant to the Srikrishna Committee. Is the Government apprehensive because it is an illegal project, he asked at a press conference on Tuesday. On the issue of Hyderabad as Zone VI for recruitment, the TRS president alleged that Director General of Police R.R. Girish Kumar had shown disrespect to the Legislative Assembly that had resolved that Hyderabad should be Zone VI and not a free zone. By citing a Supreme Court judgment, the DGP had recently transferred 18 reserve SIs out of Hyderabad. The DGP should be removed from the post for his misadventure, Mr. Rao demanded.
