On the other hand, The Rural Development Minister, Mr D Manikya Vara Prasada Rao, suspected personal interests behind the statements, made by the CWC leader, Mr Venkatswamy against Sonia Gandhi.

Condemning the statements against AICC president, the Minister said that every press conference and statement of Mr Venkatswamy revealed his motive of gaining personal benefits. Reacting to the senior Congress leader's voice against the efforts for alliance between the Congress and PRP, Mr Manikya Vara Prasada Rao reminded that Mr Venkatswamy played a key role, in settling alliance between Congress and the TRS in 2004.

On the threat of Mr Venkatswamy to launch Telangana Congress party, if required, the Minister felt that every person had the right and freedom to launch a political party in the country.
