MNP launch: 14,000 new customers join BSNL

State-owned mobile operator BSNL is gaining four customers for every customer lost, due to the mobile number portability. According to BSNL chief general manager Rajeev Agrawal, so far 14,000 customers had expressed their intent to be part of the BSNL network while 4,000 BSNL customers were planning to move out.
BSNL is offering free SIM to customers coming in through MNP along with an additional talk value of Rs 100 and 5 GB GPRS download. The GM stated that, The AP Telecom circle is making efforts to improve the coverage, by installing additional base transceiver stations among others.
