Hyderabad to host world's largest law conference today
The prestigious Commonwealth Law Conference, the largest event of its kind in the common law world, will be held in India after a gap of four decades. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the five-day long conference in the city. The Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia will deliver the thematic address.
Several hundred delegates from India and other Commonwealth countries will take part in the conference. Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhury and Justice Sudershan Reddy of the Supreme Court of India will be among the keynote speakers along with Sir Sidney Kentridge QC, a doyen of the English and South African Bars.
