Chiru entry will not alter Congress stand on Telangana'
Congress MP Madhu Yaskhi has said that Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi will not be in a position to influence the decision of Congress on Telangana even if the latter merges his party with the Congress. Talking to reporters on Saturday, Mr. Madhu said the decision of the Congress on the issue will be binding on Mr. Chiranjeevi irrespective of whether he merges or merely forges ties with Congress.
The Congress MPs from Telangana would not relent even after merger of Praja Rajyam which has stood for integrated State. Referring to the demand of senior leader G. Venkatswamy asking Sonia Gandhi to step down as Congress president, Mr. Madhu said it exposed the withdrawal symptoms in him after enjoying power for long spell in various capacities. There was no need to take him seriously. the MP said.
