Jagan calls on family of deceased engg. student

* Government projecting the death as accident unfortunate
Former MP Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy called on the family of engineering student G. Varalakshmi, who allegedly immolated herself unable to pay tuition fee in Abdullapur village in Hayatnagar mandal on the city outskirts on Saturday. Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy said it was ridiculous for the Government to claim that the girl had died of gas leak.
I saw the modest kitchen and there are no visible signs of any cylinder blast. It is shameful for the Government to give a twist to the death, he remarked. Parents of the deceased student broke down narrating how their daughter ended her life unable to bear the harassment of the college management to pay the tuition fee. They said the police did not even note down their statement.
