Corruption charges must be probed

Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi has said that charges of corruption against anybody, including breakaway Congress leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy should be probed and facts be made known to people.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday after his return from the four-day visit to New Delhi to finalise the merger of his party with the Congress, he said he was not against individuals in the matter of corruption but was against the system. It was the duty of agencies like CBI and ACB to probe the issues of corruption.
On his charges of corruption against Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy regime during 2004-09, Mr. Chiranjeevi said he had pointed out corruption in various schemes implemented during the period. He did not say anything new but had reiterated what CAG and Lok Ayukta reports had brought out, he noted.
