CM KKR addresses Rachabanda at Borabanda

Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy said that, housing & infrastructure development would be taken up in the slums, in the GHMC limits at a cost of 6,000 Crores, during next five years under, Jawahar Awas Yojana Scheme.

Kiran Kumar Reddy participated in Rachabanda programme held at Borabanda area, in the city, on Tuesday. Addressing the gathering, Mr.Reddy said that houses for homeless & infrastructure facilities like drinking water, drainage and roads would be developed in slums of Urban areas, throughout the state, at a cost of 15,000 Crores, in next 5 years.

He added that, out of 78,000 sanctioned houses in the city, construction 9,000 houses has been completed & remaining houses would be completed by end of this year.

CM assured that, reservation for women in local bodies would be increased to 50% from present 33%. At the sametime, he also announced sanction of Rs.5 Crores for drinking water scheme.
