Lagadapati Rajagopal asks regional parties to follow Chiranjeevi

Vijayawda MP Lagadapati Rajgopal on Tuesday, asked the regional parties to take cue from Praja Rajyam Party supremo Chiranjeevi and merge their parties with national parties. Addressing a press conference, he alleged that the regional parties were generating regional animosity among people of respective statesl.
Criticising Telugu Desam Party for creating much ado on the merger of PRP into the Congress, he said the objections and accusations of the TDP leaders were indicating that their party was scared of the merger.
Justifying Chiranjeevi's decision of merging the PRP into Congress, he said Mr Chiranjeevi floated the regional party as he did not have any political knowledge.The MP hoped that former MP of Kadapa Y S Jaganmohan Reddy would also join the Congress by 2014 Assembly elections.
