TRS rules out merger with Congress

Telangana Rashtra Samiti has ruled out its merger with Congress saying the question did not arise at all. Answering a question about speculation in this regard at a press conference on Thursday, former TRS MP B. Vinod Kumar said there was no indication to the effect from Congress nor had TRS sent it any feelers.
He criticised the double speak of Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy about State government's efforts to get the status of national projects for Polavaram and Pranahita-Chevella projects. Mr. Reddy gave this assurance to people of East and West Godavari districts while referring to Polavaram and to those from Karimnagar and Warangal when he made a reference to Pranahita-Chevella.
The Chief Minister was well aware that it was the policy of Central government to sanction only one national project in a State, Mr. Vinod Kumar added.
